Featured Alum: Kathleen Bias, ACCTG, Financial Project Leader at PNC Financial Services, INC.

Kathleen Bias is a financial project and team leader who began her career in the Big Four at Deloitte. After performing audits on large business clients and teaching auditing techniques, she applied that experience at Constellation Energy performing financial closes, analysis, and preparing financial statements and SEC external reporting. She also updated the CFO on quarterly financial standing. Kathy was promoted into numerous roles in three different divisions. A lead on the business information system team, she implemented the Oracle procurement module and taught training sessions on the software. As a Supervisor, she headed the strategic plan, budget, service level agreements and scorecards for the retail services division. She served as corporate lead for the Universal Service Program for Customer Choice where she developed processes that optimized the company and complied with new Federal regulations. As a Project Manager, she lead several process improvement and cost reduction projects. After taking a mid-career break as a stay-at-home mom, she continued the management of projects and business analytics. Kathy oversees cross-functional teams, performing strategic analysis and activity-based costing, resulting in financial reporting to enhance management decision making. She recently obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and trained in SQL. An active member of the Women Connect EBRG, Kathy served on two Committees, and volunteers for the Grow Up Great program. Her passions are family, and volunteering. Her family has a deep love for blue and white! Her son is currently attending Penn State, and her daughter begins in the fall. She has numerous family members who are alumni.?
