As you may know, I love messing around on motorbikes, and manage to talk about them whenever I can..... what you probably don't know is that for many years I have struggled on and off with depression.
It is not something I used to talk about, but with inspiration drawn from my friend Rob Stephenson and his organisation Inside-Out.org I am challenging that, and doing my bit to smash the stigma of mental ill-health (check out what Rob is doing, it's amazing).
This September I am taking part in 'The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride' to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention/men's mental health and prostate cancer on behalf of the Movember Foundation.
If you haven't heard of the DGR when check out this video https://youtu.be/yrPptSdULbM
I get to ride my Triumph Thruxton R, dressed in my finest clobber through the streets of London, and raise money and awareness at the same time! Win Win!
Prostate cancer affects more men than any other cancer, taking the lives of 307,000 men each year. That number is surpassed by 500,000 men dying from suicide.
That's 807,000 men every year. This is a number that must change.
If you can spare a pound or two to support me on my ride please please do - just click on this link https://www.gentlemansride.com/fundraiser/jamesnathan and making a donation.
If nothing more - seeing me in a cravat and goggles will be worth it!
Have a very healthy day,
