To be known as the Christie Smart Barbecue with GoAccess Platform, the sensor device and customisable platform provides deep insights into outdoor barbecues in public spaces including utilisation, temperature, alert information, fault diagnostics, cleaning information, and historical data.

The solution empowers councils, public space asset and facility managers, and other asset owners to manage their barbecues effectively whilst driving down operational costs and maintenance.

The exclusive agreement for Australia and New Zealand will see significant numbers of Smartsensor Technologies’ sensors integrated and deployed with Christie barbecues, with the GoAccess asset management platform and application provided to customers.

Leon Hayes, Managing Director of Smartsensor Technologies said “We are in awe of Christie and their team and truly humbled by the opportunity to work in partnership with them to revolutionise the public space barbecue market. As a third-generation family business, we look at Christie with deep respect and admiration.”

Alex Christie, Christie’s Managing Director said: “We started out on this Smart City journey to offer our clients the most comprehensive array of tangible benefits that our latest generation barbecue cooktop can provide. In partnering with Australia’s leading internet of things company, Smartsensor Technologies has developed an integrated sensor, and management platform that enables us to offer our clients unprecedented visibility and robust analytics for proactive public barbecue asset management.”
