Hello, and welcome to this month’s SmartPA newsletter. It’s an important truth that, even in times of rapid change, some things stay the same. Take Easter Eggs for example. At the start of January every year, regular as clockwork, I pull up in shock in the supermarket in the face of shelves stuffed full of Easter Eggs. Why can’t they wait just a few weeks, I think, before making me run that gauntlet of endless chocolate?
Of course, it’s simply a reminder that in business we all need to be constantly planning ahead for what will, or even might, be coming along soon. With that in mind, our first two articles this month relate to different elements of strategic planning: one with a visionary slant, and the other more immediately practical (and very timely).
