The Smartest Badger in Badgerville

The Smartest Badger in Badgerville

by Dan Harkey

Watch out for the smartest badger when you are in Badgerville and the surrounding forest. His motives are rarely what he portrays. They may be hidden behind a facade, protected by a monopoly system, or outright fraudulent. Distrust his every move until confidence and verification are discovered and assured? ?

Envy is a dominant emotion:

·??????? Envy is not just a passing emotion; it's a complex state of mind that can lead to destructive behaviors.

·??????? It is aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, and luck, and an envious person desires the same good fortune.

·??????? They think good fortune should be shared equally without effort or risks.

·??????? Shiny things are symbols of superficial accomplishments, character flaws, and those seeking class advancement.

·??????? Those who don't have the same material possessions or social status as others may feel subordinate or less valued in society.

·??????? Shiny things and status go hand in hand.

·??????? Emotions deflate when one discovers that good fortune can only be achieved through hard work, tenacity, and personal risk. There is generally pushback.

·??????? Entitlement, without effort, is a pop-up emotion to pounce on when available and perceived as free.

The anonymity of a sociopath:

·??????? A person may believe they are the smartest badger in their community.

·??????? This person may exhibit traits of a sociopath, dwelling in their comfort zone and spending their days manipulating others for personal gain.

·??????? I gloat over my abilities, achievements, and possessions, which I have taken from other badgers.

·??????? I have no desire to be seen by others as their equals. I am superior.

·??????? I frequently admire my collection of blades of grass, straw bedding materials, pinecones, bits of plastic sheeting old clothes, and shiny things that line my tunnel walls.

·??????? No American institution is spared, including the government. Many (sociopath badgers) are now in government to capitalize for themselves by tearing down our culture and institutions.

·??????? The sociopath badgers are ripping apart concepts of capitalism, self-reliance, individual accountability, individualism, and rights of privacy, as well as shredding the Constitution.

·??????? What is left is a country pillaged for the benefit of a few, subject to historical revisionism, persecution, cancellation, and a culture of historical artifacts.

·??????? The average badger must forage for the few remaining shiny things.

·??????? What was normal no longer exists. ?

I may appear anti-social as defined by social norms. ?I am not interested in social discourse or emotional interactions with others. ??I find such interactions degrading because of my superior intellect.

·??????? I routinely experience the pure excitement of body and mind, where my heart beats faster, blood flows quicker to my brain and muscles, and my outrageous body stimulus is constant.

·??????? I thrive for the next adrenaline rush.

·??????? I am addicted to activities with compulsive participation of physical, mental, legal, and financial consequences.

·??????? I function appropriately in a fiercely competitive society, given the options.

Admiration of physical treasures is superficial:

·??????? My physical possessions are my prized collection.

·??????? My treasures symbolize my success, contempt, and conquest.

·??????? I outsmart others (badgers) by accumulating their possessions.

·??????? I constantly search for new, neighboring, weaker badgers from whom I expect to extract more.

·??????? The system is rigged to my benefit.

·??????? What is a prize taken from one who is arbitrary and of no consequence? ?There is no challenge or satisfaction. ?I throw small fish back into the creek.

·??????? What is valuable that cannot be consistently measured by a scale of “how much can I take from others”?

·??????? There may be limitations, such as supply and regulatory constrictions. Avoidance and circumvention are my game.

·??????? Sometimes, inherent beauty and scarcity dictate value. That is why "Diamonds are Girls' Best Friends."

·??????? Zirconia or an authentic diamond may be questionable and subjectively valuable. Zirconia is a synthetic material that resembles a diamond. It displays similar crystal-like characteristics on the finger of a beautiful woman.

·??????? I want to possess all the diamonds and sprinkle the zirconia to the masses.

·??????? Only a fool would think the prize is the ring rather than the perfect specimen of an attractive woman or a newborn.

Traits of a predator:

·??????? A predator is always on the lookout for new opportunities to exploit.

·??????? They strike when the time is right, often without warning.

·??????? I frolic in neighborhood tunnels with laughter, delight, and good cheer.

·??????? At all times, I always maintain my wit to convince neighborhood members that my ideas and opinions are about truth and fairness as I dictate them.

·??????? Members of the community are my prey!

·??????? "Four treasures for me, and none for thee" is my mantra.

·??????? My distributive justice in action, for I am the smartest badger in Badgerville.

·??????? How do people judge fairness and allocations of what they may receive?

·??????? Distributive justice of strict equity based on effort and taking risks does not apply in Badgerville. ?Distributive justice is an illusion."

·??????? Business and personal relationships are crops for harvest in my garden.

·??????? I always tell other badgers what they want to hear.

·??????? Badgers thrive on reinforcement that they are intelligent and socially acceptable and that their interpretation of truth is universal.

·??????? They gloat over self-adulation.

·??????? They rely on mainstream news media for knowledge reinforcement and are submissive and okay without considering the consequences.

·??????? They are fools.

Traits of a schemer for self-gain:

·??????? I have a vast knowledge of playing the system in my favor.

·??????? Years of accumulated experience have done me well.

·??????? If others become aware that I know more about their business and accomplishments than they do, they may become frightened.

·??????? They should focus and pay attention to me and accept my superiority.

·??????? Submit or be tormented! ?I forgive none who deviate nor take no prisoners.

·??????? I am like the government; I possess a monopoly on predatory schemes of the system.

Traits of a bully:

·??????? Other badgers who question my motives or integrity claims are my enemies.

·??????? How dare they challenge me or suggest my insincerity or predatory intentions.

·??????? I will overpower and belittle doubters who question my motives.

·??????? I possess vast experience and knowledge in playing the system in my favor.

·??????? I am the king of system manipulation.

·??????? They are fools. ?My license allows me to engage in predatory activities.

Traits of avoidance:

·??????? I avoid badgers with superior business acumen because they can see through my intellectual facade and reveal my true motives.

·??????? I will also avoid them if I try to intimidate them emotionally, but they reject or deflect my efforts.

·??????? If they refuse to fall prey to my habit of pathological lying to gain an advantage, I will avoid them. ?

·??????? Be 'damned' with those who refuse to submit to my intellectual superiority. ?I have no use for any association with them.

·??????? I try to avoid stressful and unproductive activities.

·??????? Whether essential or not, I judge actions by what I get from them.

Traits of incorrigibility:

·??????? Yes, I execute secret and underhanded plans because the system allows me to. ?The system is on my side.

·??????? If one studies enough about the legal system, one will realize that it is biased in favor of those who know how to play the system chess game best.

·??????? I avoid all who are unaffected and impervious to my schemes.

·??????? Plenty of weaker badgers out in the forest are willing to have their assets forfeited.

·??????? I get pleasure from others' misfortunes or struggles when there is nothing to gain.

·??????? I feel Schadenfreude toward their accomplishments.

·??????? I am incapable of modifying my behavior.

·??????? Please do not attempt to reform me, for I have a long history of success and self-reliance by devious means.

·??????? The system has taught me well. It is my equal partner.

Traits of pursuing superficial relationships

·??????? I am only interested in surface friendships and the ones to recreate and have fun.

·??????? I may pretend to have a close relationship, but please do not get too close.

·??????? Recreational and superficial relationships are temporary, but disappointment rarely happens when they end.

·??????? I only allow sycophant badgers to scurry and flurry with me and be my friend—They are easy to fool and reinforce my high self-esteem.

Smiling Faces Sometimes:

·??????? I hurry, scurry, and flurry with a smile to create the illusion that my intentions are honorable and trustworthy.

·??????? I use my manipulative skills and capacity for overt lying to gain unfair advantages.

·??????? My secret weapon is entrapping my intended victim(s).

·??????? 'Fair to me, unfair to them,' but who counts? ?Eventually, their treasures will aggregate in my favor.

·??????? Watch me! ?My smile is contagious.

·??????? I can convince, modify moods, excite, and direct public opinion.

I am the king of my self-proclaimed universe:

·??????? I am a lawyer in Badgerville and well-trained to play the American court system to my advantage.

·??????? The judge and I golf together.

·??????? I will institute legal proceedings against my adversaries to perfect my fairness claims and eventually take their treasures.

Four for me and none for THEM!

Although this article is humorous, one may perceive a bit of education when deciding which badgers you are willing to associate with in the forest.

The classic song "Smiling Faces Sometimes" depicts badger-type personalities. The Undisputed Truth (group) initially recorded this soul classic in 1971.

Song lyrics:

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend. Smiling faces show no traces, of the evil that lurks within (can you dig it?), Smiling faces, smiling faces, sometimes. They don't tell the truth. Smiling faces and smiling faces tell lies, and I have proof. Oh, oh, yeah

Let me tell you, the truth is in the eyes cause the eyes don't lie, amen. Remember, a smile is just a frown turned upside down, my friend. So, hear me when I'm saying. Smiling faces, smiling faces, sometimes, yeah They don't tell the truth. Smiling faces and smiling faces tell lies, and I got proof. (Beware) beware of the handshake That hides the snake (can you dig it, can you dig it?)

I'm a-tellin' you beware of the pat on the back It just might hold you back Jealousy (jealousy), misery (misery), envy (envy) I tell you, you can't see behind Smiling faces, smiling faces, sometimes Hey, they don't tell the truth Smiling faces and smiling faces tell lies. I got proof Hey, your enemy won't do you any harm (Rap on) cause you'll know where he's coming from Don't let the handshake and the smile fool ya Take my advice; I'm only trying' to school ya Smiling faces, smiling faces, sometimes They don't tell the truth Smiling faces and smiling faces tell lies, and I got proof Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes.

Thank you
