How Buzze uses Smartcar to enable peer-to-peer EV charging?
When former Arizona state representative, Aaron Lieberman , bought his first EV, he wasn't interested in getting his own Level 2 charger. But he installed his own anyway because finding reliable public chargers proved to be a bigger challenge than he thought.?
领英推荐
?? He then had an idea: If his EV charger would be left unused for most of the week, why not share it with his neighbors??
That’s how Buzze Inc was born, offering drivers:?
?? More charging options: Unlock more charging possibilities close to home without having to purchase your own EV charger — especially if you're not going to charge your EV frequently.
? Convenience: Charge on your schedule, no waiting at public stations.
?? Accessibility: Opens up EV ownership to those without home charging options.
?
The Smartcar API helps Buzze remain a charger-agnostic platform, allowing the app to monitor charging sessions for accurate billing and collect user consent from EV drivers across 200 compatible EV models.

Why scale predictive maintenance with vehicle telematics
The average age of a car on the road in the U.S. has reached a record level of 12.5 years in 2023 amidst rising vehicle costs.?
The value of vehicle maintenance is even more apparent now. But with average repair bills also on the rise, auto repair and maintenance shops must invest in building customer trust and helping drivers avoid costly unexpected repairs.?
One way businesses are doing this is by engaging customers with predictive maintenance.?
With vehicle telematics, businesses can boost customer acquisition and retention. Businesses today use the Smartcar API to retrieve vehicle information and give customers more actionable help.
?
?? Direct customers to nearby shops for recommended services and products.
?? Personalize seasonal maintenance reminders based on actual vehicle performance.
??? Deliver targeted upsells and promotions with added context into how services will impact a vehicle.
