On Saturday October 7, 2023, at the dawn of a Jewish high holiday, the terrorist organization Hamas launched a coordinated and vicious attack on Israel from Gaza. During the assault, more than 2,500 rockets were fired at Israeli cities from civilian populations in Gaza, and more than 1,500 terrorists infiltrated the peaceful towns and kibbutzim bordering the Gaza strip.
The attack led to significant casualties, with at least 1,400 Israelis slaughtered. The terrorists ruthlessly killed 300 young men and women partying at a music festival. They tortured, killed, and burned entire families in their homes and beds, leaving thousands wounded, and took more than 230 hostages to the Gaza Strip.
This terror attack, one of the worst in Western Civilization's history, triggered a war declaration by the Israeli government and forced over 100,000 Israelis from their homes in the northern and southern regions.
While Pixellot has grown into a global company, serving hundreds of clients across the world, its roots are firmly planted in Israel. Several members of our team, as well as their loved ones, have been summoned to serve our nation. Our thoughts are with them, hoping for their safe return. We are in continuous communication with them and supporting them and their families.
Since the onset of the war, Pixellot has been actively supporting families evacuated from their homes in both the southern and northern regions. In a gesture of solidarity, we have also taken under our wing the non-profit organization, The Flying Tiger that supports infantry units.
As we face these challenging times in our country, I want to assure you that the core values and resilience that define our nation are deeply embedded in the DNA of Pixellot.
Though most of our employees are headquartered in Israel, our strength lies in our global network of employees and the camaraderie between them. This ensures that our services and support to our clients and partners continue seamlessly.
Even with the current unrest, as you’ll see in the next sections of this newsletter, our achievements this month have been significant.
