Smart Games for Smart Communities

Dear Reader,

It’s December and it’s time to bring on the holiday cheer! At Amuse Labs, we wish to express our gratitude to you for sharing our love for puzzles. Throughout the year, one thing that inspired us was how different groups and communities creatively incorporated Smart Games as a source of fun, awareness and engagement. In this month’s newsletter, we focus the spotlight on such communities.

Happy puzzling!

The person on the right has curly hair and is pointing at the screen. The image is representational of them solving puzzles as university students.
Puzzles in education, learning and peer and alumni connect.

Applications of Smart Games in an academic institution go beyond education. Puzzles have found a place in student-run newspapers, magazines, newsletters, clubs, committees, and department-led communities. Universities, colleges and schools use PuzzleMe games such as crosswords, sudokus, quizzes, and jigsaws to cover on-campus news and connect with peers and alumni. Harvard Independent , Harvard College’s student weekly newsmagazine,?publishes crosswords?with intriguing and entertaining clues connecting specifically with its young audience. The Faculty of Arts and Science at the 加拿大多伦多大学 sends bimonthly newsletters to their alumni which carry themed crosswords. The clueing is smartly inspired from on-campus news stories.
