What is Smart Digitization?
Smart Digitization is the process of collecting digital information based on pre-defined requirements with the intent to generate a specific outcome, ensuring the right technologies capture the right data for your output needs.
Smart Digitization identifies where your existing tower database is insufficient for predefined report or analysis outputs, and ensures that the proper tower and ground capture technologies collect prerequisite digital information to generate those outputs.
For example, consider the following scenarios;
- You already have site information in your database needed to generate analysis and reporting, and a 3D Reality Model and Digital Twin won’t aid you.
- You have critical site details in your database, and a lower-quality 3D Reality Model and Digital Twin is sufficient for verifying site attributes.
- You have missing or outdated dimensional detail in your database, and require an Engineering-class 3D Reality Model and Digital Twin for structural calculations and stamped-analysis.
The right approach depends on the presence, age, and quality of information available for each site. In reality, you probably have a mix of these scenarios, and no easy way to clearly identify what sites require what digitization methodology. This is where Smart Digitization comes in.
