My next home will be a smart home. If not built-in - part of the move-in or remodel. It's amazing how this technology can work together and solve so many issues we still do manually. Smoke detectors that can turn on lights, turn off HVAC, disable ONLY when cooking, speak FIRE in multiple languages and send text alarms when not home is pretty sleek stuff. Then add your HVAC controls, inside/outdoor light controls, locks, garage, TVs, Stereo - it seems almost endless. Maybe I should try '1' to get started??
