Last week CEDIA rolled into London for its Tech and Business Summit, which our very own Seán Holland reports on in today’s newsletter. One of Seán’s highlights was Ben Goff’s talk on CEDIA’s standards and recommended practices. In the wake of RP22 (a hugely well received recommended practice focused on immersive audio systems) CEDIA is forging ahead with more guidelines that are set to further improve the standard of residential technology integration. Also today we can report on an addition to the CEDIA executive team designed to enrich CEDIA’s education offering. Advocating for the industry, hosting platforms for discussion, issuing guidelines to standardise and improve project delivery, and education are all areas where a good association will excel. If news this week is anything to go by, CEDIA is ticking all the right boxes.
