Smart business models and ecosystem with supercomputers

Osaango and the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) carried out an interesting project together, again.?During spring 2022 the focus was in high-performance computing. Specifically, its potential as a part of a new data economy. Key areas were in the use of?supercomputers, AI and data management in an ecosystem. The Memory Lab ecosystem would consist of companies, memory organizations and universities. Memory organizations are for example archives, museums and research organizations.

The goal for the project was to increase understanding of the service potential of high-performance computing. What could supercomputers provide for industries like?food, water, forestry and wellbeing? Besides big data management, these computers are useful for virtual and augmented reality. The results were important for future Memory Lab investment decisions. The key thing was to find services provided by the ecosystem. How to attract visitors, companies, and organizations?to Eastern Finland?

The team needed deep technical knowledge. This was key to understanding the possibilities of technology and architecture. Yet, this was not the main reason to choose Osaango as a partner to the project. Xamk chose Osaango because of our strong ability to combine technology and business. As usual, our team was also able to connect to the target industry needs.
