Smaller Deeds, Bigger The Rewards

Smaller Deeds, Bigger The Rewards

Trying to keep up with our daily challenges has become a norm. Yes… we struggle, and we conquer. Yet sometimes few of us live for just living, while some look forward to a brand new day. What makes us different from each other? What do we do to overcome our life struggles? Do we choose to abide by the rules, or seize to fight another day?

Have you ever wondered why we sometimes feel like we don’t fit in this world? It’s because we keep stressing out, trying to impress everyone with our personalities, when it shouldn’t be our priority in the first place. Why do we seek validation, when it’s simply about living a life that we’re proud of?

Unfortunately, we usually tire ourselves with doing everything ‘too much.’ Believe it or not, we all have this in common. We go the extra mile and we love too much, we give too much, we help too much… while all we have to do is be ourselves and live with the fact that whoever loves us will accept who we are anyways.

We need to stop putting so much pressure on ourselves to achieve the unachievable. We need to revive our belief in the greater good — that ‘Less is More,’ and that the small deeds we manage to daily accomplish can surely save us from upcoming catastrophes.

Here are few tips on how we can initiate few simple deeds that lead to bigger rewards in return – without worrying about what may or may not happen in the future and aiming to only focus on what will make us feel alive again;

Smile Because You Still Can

Try out greeting someone in the morning; it’s always a charm. Joke with common people in the streets — individuals you haven’t met before; it’s always a joy!

Spread Kind Vibes

Find ways to give away small gifts to friends when they’re feeling sad, like chocolate, funny text messages, etc. Something that makes them know you’re here whenever they need to talk. It will surely make ’you’ happy.

Reconnect With Old Friends

As we grow older, we go our separate ways. Some travel to another country and some change careers. Remember your good old days and call the people you truly miss. You’ll definitely make their day!

Initiate Family Visits

Remember your childhood? When we were children and we worried about nothing but where to hang out, what to eat, and which game should we play? Take the initiative and call for a family visit. Reconnect with your old buddies and play mates, a.k.a. cousins, and make sure you share only the happy times.

Hanging Out With Old People

Everyone has a story to tell. And what’s more exciting than hearing true stories from people who actually lived it. Try passing by old stores and meet up with elder people who still work in their own shops. You can learn a lot; their stories are pure diamond gems!

Say Prayers From Your Heart

Pour out how you feel and what you wish for. You don’t need to play it by the books and use old sayings and fancy quotes. You only need to be true and profound. Say what you have to say bluntly: someone, somewhere will surely listen!
