Are you struggling with sales in your small business??

Do you have a fear of selling or just no desire to sell? Well sales is what drives business revenue, so let’s unpack this to help you get over it.

1) Do you know the source of your fear? Is it your negative self-talk? Stop thinking you are not good at sales. Learn to eat No’s for breakfast, use them as a source of encouragement. Is it really “Not yet” or “Not this quarter.” Patience is sometimes what is needed to land a whale of a customer.

2) Find enthusiasm for what you offer. Does your product or service really solve a problem? Do you have an amazing value proposition? Can you highlight results you’ve had for others?

3) Set a schedule and shift your perspective. When it comes to sales, you must do it every day. Create a target list. From 10am-2pm daily, you need to make yourself pick up the phone or send an email to ask for a conversation.

4) Start small. Your whale customer might not be the first target.

5) Keep track of your successes. Use a CRM or sales enablement software to track your touch points and close ratios. Even if you only get a conversation, that is the beginning of a relationship. Get your confidence together and get to selling.
