Are weekly newsletters still relevant?

I’m hoping you guessed my answer to that question, since you are reading the article in a newsletter.?To resolve the mystery, my answer is YES. If you want to keep your brand in front of your customers and engage new ones, email newsletters are an excellent way to enhance engagement with your customers.?Here are the five elements of an effective newsletter.

  • Use Must-Click Headlines. The best?newsletters?utilize headlines that beg to be clicked. Tease content inside and use humor or a question to drive interest.
  • Customer-Focused. It’s not about you. You better have something in that newsletter that is relevant and packed with value for your target customer. If your content is not going to help anyone, please don’t send it.
  • Be Brief. ?People appreciate brevity. Less is more. No one is excited about a lengthy?newsletter.?People get pounded daily with marketing emails, so make yours count.
  • Call-to-Action. You need to promote something in every newsletter, but it could be a free or paid offer. Your offer must be something that solves a pain point for your target customer.
  • Design. People always respond to things that look good. Make sure that your template is aesthetically pleasing and consistent with your visual brand story. It needs to be mobile optimized too.
