Online marketing has emerged as the #1 marketing channel of any business. Regardless of what you sell, you need to know how to engage customers online. Why is online marketing so dominant today? Online marketing is so important because your customers are online. Considering that over 4.2 billion people are on the Internet, it’s a great opportunity for you to reach leads that are looking for your business or solution. There are billions of people online just waiting to find your company, and there’s the added advantage that online marketing is cheaper than traditional marketing and is measurable. I believe successful selling online comes down the 4-legged stool of online marketing.
Website: Your website is your number #1 sales tool.
Content: Keep content fresh, relevant, timely, and all about solving the pain of your target customer. It’s the best way to keep your website updated and to demonstrate your expertise.
Social Media: Social media marketing is essential for brand awareness, customer engagement and generating direct sales. It is visual and brief. Focus on just two platforms.
Email marketing: Email is the follow-up system in your online marketing. Once you get a prospect to show interest, email is used to build a relationship and then to pitch your offers, provide customer support, or secure a repeat order.
