It’s time to Develop Your 2021 Marketing Strategy

This is the first week of November, and 2021 is right around the corner. It’s time to look at the 4Cs of marketing to inform where you want your small business to go next year. The 4Cs are the perfect framework for engaging today’s digital customer. We all must be more customer centric in these uncertain times. The 4Cs are choice, convenience, cross-device and creative. Here’s the breakdown.

Choice: Customers have an endless supply of choices. Brands must meet consumer demand with highly relevant and personalized products and services and promotional campaigns.

Convenience: When your customer buys something, they want it now. Price is secondary to convenience. Speed of delivery is the deciding factor on how and when purchases are made. It’s still about creating amazing customer experiences though, which is why free shipping is still an attractive perk.

Cross-Device: Marketing is now omni-channel across all devices and points of sale. Brands must create mutually rewarding, connected experiences across online and offline channels. Your customer uses-- multiple devices throughout the day, and your brand experience must be seamless across every customer touch point too. Brands must deliver relevant marketing messages and opportunities to buy anytime, anywhere, on any screen.

Creative: Your target customer is hit with thousands of ads and marketing messages daily. Creative storytelling is the solution to break through the noise and get your brand noticed. Sales funnels are a perfect example of this. From brand awareness, to nurture sequences, to sales conversion, creative storytelling allows brands to deliver tailored messaging to their customer depending on where they are in the buyer journey. Conversions require multiple touch points. Business owners have to find the right order in which to tell their brand’s story to engage and build trust with the target customer.

If you’re not quite ready to start thinking about 2021 yet, here’s some advice on how you can go hard the rest of 2020 with your holiday sales. This week’s feature article: Boost Your 2020 Holiday Season Sales with PPC and Social Media Ads
