Is Your Small Business Leveraging Inbound Marketing Techniques?
Just because we are in a recession doesn’t mean you should stop marketing. Inbound marketing is focused on attracting customers through relevant and helpful content that adds value at every stage of the buying journey. This strategy puts your message in front of your target customer at the right time, resulting in more leads in your sales funnel and ultimately more closed deals! If you want to get started with an inbound marketing strategy for your small business, I’m going a share a few things that you’ll need to execute it effectively.
Identify your target customer, research where they hangout online. Then develop a content strategy. Blogging is a very effective content tactic. Use social media to drive traffic to your website. Make sure you use relevant titles that are optimized for SEO, and include calls to action in your posts. Reinforce CTA’s with pop-ups on your website to drive specific conversions. Here are a few more strategies to consider.
1. Using your Google my Business listing. It’s free and you can post content on your Google listing to get found.
2. Leverage your list of existing customers with helpful emails. If you're not using email marketing, get started today with Aweber.com which offers FREE plans for a list of up to 500 emails.
3. Start Using Live Video. Go live on FB, Twitter, IG and LinkedIn to check in with your audience online.
4. Educate your target audience. You can never go wrong demonstrating your expertise to your target audience by hosting a webinar, launching an e-course or a short video series. Make sure you include a call to action at the end of it.
