Small Towns and their Churches

Every small town has a rich history that spans hundreds of years. Church architecture, on the other hand, is undoubtedly unique.
Small towns make up for a lack of population with their charm, local crafts and entertainment, and, most significantly, churches.
These buildings, influenced by Dutch settlements, Georgian styles, and French Huguenots, are exceptional, exquisitely picturesque, and historically rich.
Being continually drawn to interesting historical structures, it's not only the exterior that captures your attention, but rather the interior, which is brimming with stories and tales that are either sad, hilarious, or downright disturbing.
For example, Napier, a town in the Overberg, is named after Sir George Napier, the then-Governor of the Cape. However, when Michiel van Breda and his neighbour, Pieter Voltelyn van der Byl, couldn't agree on where the community's church should be located, the consequence was two separate churches and towns: Bredasdorp and Napier. This is only one of several stories.
Here are some photos I've taken throughout the years of various churches in tiny towns:
Which churches are you drawn to? Which ones should I visit? Let me know!
