Small Steps, Stronger Faith

Small Steps, Stronger Faith

Hello Tribe,

It’s me again, writing more frequently than I thought I would. Every time I feel like holding back, there’s that nudge to just go ahead and share. So, I believe this message is timely for someone reading it today.

I want to share some lessons from working out. I remember when I decided to get back into it after a two-year break—it was tough! It felt like I had never worked out before, and I had to humble myself and accept that I wasn’t as fit as I was two years ago. So, I started slow, focusing on low-impact exercises just to get back into the rhythm. I didn’t obsess over it; I simply made sure to show up every day, even if it was only for 20 minutes. After a month, I noticed the body aches had stopped, I felt stronger, and I wasn’t getting tired as quickly. Even my body began to change.

Here’s what I’ve learned: many of us feel worn out and frustrated because we show up daily but see no immediate results. However, showing up consistently—even with small efforts—adds up. The reward for persevering is far greater than the frustration of giving up. And every time I felt like quitting, I was reminded of Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This verse helped me to keep going, knowing that God strengthens me, even in small efforts.

Let me tell you another story. When I started my career as a product manager, I received a lot of criticism—both from employers and colleagues. It hurt, but I was determined to stay on the path God had placed me on. I worked on every piece of feedback and made sure to grow from it. Each workplace had its own expectations, but I realized something important: God was using every step to make me better. Through faith and persistence, I became stronger and more skilled with each new challenge.

So don’t give up. Giving up means you’ll have to start all over again, but staying the course and trusting God in your journey will make you a better version of yourself. Be realistic about your progress—if you’ve only been at something for three or four years, don’t expect the results of someone who’s been at it for ten. God works through the process because every stage has lessons that prepare you for the next.

Just like my workout, your baby steps are valid. Your small efforts matter. Even the negative feedback at work is part of the growth. Take it seriously, build on it, and trust that God is guiding you through every step.

Trust me, with God, it can only get better.

See you in my next letter.

Queen

I must say this is another motivation to push until I reach the edge. The part where you wrote "when you started, you experienced body aches but after constant repetition, you system adapted to it as your routine". I also noticed where this translates into my current career journey. Go hard go hard! If impacting lives was an article ?? Thanks for sharing!

No step is ever wasted. It all adds up. Just like nature, nothing goes to waste.
