Hey there, superstar! Are you ready to kick some butt and take some names? Of course, you are! But, let's face it, sometimes life can be tough, and it's easy to get sidetracked or lose focus. That's why it's important to do yourself a solid every day to set yourself up for success.
So, what does do yourself a solid mean?
To me it means taking small, proactive steps that help you stay on track and make progress toward your goals. Here are some fun and easy ideas to get you started:
1.?Lay out your workout clothes the night before: If you're planning to exercise in the morning, why not set yourself up for success by laying out your workout clothes the night before? That way, you'll have one less thing to worry about in the morning and will be less likely to hit snooze and skip the gym.
2.?Write an email to your future self: Imagine you've just returned from an amazing vacation - toes in the sand, sipping a cool drink, sounds of the waves lapping on the beach. You're feeling relaxed, happy, and energized. But, do you remember what on earth you were working on before you went on vacation? That's where writing an email to your future self comes in. Take a few minutes to write yourself highlight the projects you were working on and any other important details you might forget. When you return, you'll thank yourself for being so thoughtful and prepared.
3.?Make a to-do list for the next day: Before you go to bed, take a few minutes to make a to-do list for the next day. Include both big and small tasks, and be sure to prioritize them in order of importance. When you wake up, you'll have a clear plan of action and will be less likely to waste time or get distracted.
4. Prep your breakfast: They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not make it a little easier on yourself? Whether you're a fan of overnight oats or smoothies, take a few minutes to prep your breakfast the night before. That way, you'll have a healthy and delicious meal waiting for you in the morning, and you'll be less likely to skip it or grab something unhealthy on the go.
5. Set a daily intention: Before you start your day, take a moment to set a daily intention. It could be anything from "I will be kind to myself today" to "I will tackle that big project with confidence." By setting a positive intention, you'll start your day on the right foot and be more likely to achieve your goals.

6.?Clean your workspace: A cluttered workspace can be distracting and make it harder to focus on your tasks. Take a few minutes at the end of each day to clean and organize your workspace. This will help you start the next day with a clear mind and a clean slate.
7.?Practice gratitude: Take a moment each day to reflect on the things you're grateful for. This could be anything from a supportive friend to a beautiful sunset. By focusing on the positive things in your life, you'll feel more energized, motivated, and ready to take on whatever challenges you need to take on next.
8.?Plan your meals for the week: Meal planning can save you time, money, and stress. Take some time each weekend to plan out your meals for the upcoming week. This will help you make healthier choices, avoid impulse purchases at the grocery store, and ensure that you always have something delicious and nutritious to eat.
9.?Schedule in some "me time": It's important to take care of yourself both physically and mentally. Scheduling in some "me time" each day can help you unwind and recharge. This could be anything from taking a relaxing bath to reading a good book or going for a walk. By taking care of yourself, you'll have more energy and motivation to tackle your goals.
10. Set a routine for a good bedtime: Getting a good night's sleep is essential for success. Set yourself up for a good night's rest by establishing a bedtime routine. This could include activities like reading a book, taking a warm bath, or listening to calming music. Start in the morning by making your bed and even set out your PJs and book so that you can more easily slip into bed when you’re ready to end the day. Plug your phone in another room to prevent losing time scrolling the night away instead use an old-school alarm to wake you up.
Remember, doing yourself a solid doesn't have to be about big, complicated things. It's all about taking small, proactive steps to set yourself up for success. Let me know which ones you incorporate into your life.
You've got this!
