Multiple Cincinnati Restaurants, OH – Hackers targeted social media accounts of 10+ restaurants including: Arnold’s Bar and Grill, Crown Republic, Losanti, Crown Cantina, Rosie’s Italian, Carriage House Farms, Via Vite, Birdcage, Belle and Bear, and the Lonely Pine Steakhouse. According to one restaurant owner, credit card data on file from Facebook business accounts were also accessed. The thieves hacked into one of their social media accounts and then got into their Facebook site. Once there, they were able to tap into bank accounts associated with Arnold's Bar’s Facebook page. The thieves bought ads—turning money from bank accounts into Facebook advertising currency which could be used in other countries.
