I’m going to hit you with a few business stats…
In the United States, there are currently 31.5 million small and mid-size businesses.
Of those businesses, 25 million only have a single employee – the founder.
A further 5.5 million have between 2 and 15 employees.
And that means less than a million of these types of businesses have 15 employees or more.
Why am I telling you this?
Your healthcare business falls into this small and mid-size category. And what’s more, you’re likely in the position that 25 million other small business owners are in…
You’re trying to do it all yourself!
If you keep going down that road, you’re probably going to fail. And here’s the reason why – you’re not building your business in the right way.
Think about why you started your practice.
You probably did it because you got sick of working for somebody else. You decided that striking out on your own would give you more control over your time and who you work with.
That’s great!
But many healthcare practitioners don’t answer the big business questions before they start.
They don’t stop and ask themselves…
Is there a demand for my service?
Can I find the right people to help me build my business?
Do I have the necessary financing to build this thing in the first place?
If you don’t know the answers to those questions, you can’t build a successful healthcare business. Instead, you’ll only create another job because you can’t grow the thing beyond yourself.
So…how do you solve the problem?
Stop thinking like the millions of other small business owners out there!
The people who build great businesses think about where they want to go and what impact they want to make first.
They answer the big questions and work back from there.
They don’t just start the business and try to figure it out along the way.
You’ve started your business…and now’s the time to make it great. Start looking at the bigger picture and figuring out what you need to do to make it a reality.
