Do you want to make 2019 your best year ever when it comes to art sales? Do you want to sell more art? Do you see other people selling art and wish you knew how they do it?
Maybe you’ve been seeing me sell art on Instagram and you’re curious about how I’m doing it. Well my friend, you’re in luck! I want to invite you to the Small Works Art Sales Challenge. You might be asking yourself: “What in the world is that?" Fair enough! The Small Works Art Sales Challenge is a system I created and been following myself for the last seven years to build momentum for my art career by making a series of small works that I can offer to my audience at a smaller price point that consequently brings attention to the larger work. It's also a great way to market my art at the end of the year during the holiday season so that I can finish very strong.
For the last three years, I've been doing this with different groups of artists I've invited to join me. Today, I want to invite you to join me for the 2019 Small Works Art Sales Challenge! The way it works is very simple and you won’t be doing this alone. I'll be coaching you through the challenge from October 1 to December, 2019.
Every week during the challenge, I will be sending you via email a video with instructions on what we’ll be working on during that specific week. You’ll be invited to join our private Facebook group where you can exchange ideas with other artists, figure out what you're doing and be inspired by what other people are doing. Remember, I’ll be helping you out along the way.
There are three main objectives for this challenge.
Objective #1 is to grow your email list. Maybe you don't have names right now or didn’t think you needed an email list. No worries, I'll help you to get started. Maybe you already have an email list. If this is you, I'm going to give you ideas on how to grow it faster. Once people join your email list, you can continue marketing to that audience forever.
Objective #2 is to build momentum for your art. There's no use to have an audience if they have no idea what you're doing, Right? So, the second objective is to help your audience figure out what you're doing, get them excited about the small works series you're about to release (between the end of November and beginning of December), and where/how you're going to release your series of small works to your audience so that they can join you. We're going to make it exciting and super fun so that they get excited about joining you in the things you’ll be doing.
When was the last time your audience was excited about the things you're doing as an artist? Well, this is a great opportunity to make it happen for them and to bring attention to the work that you do. Once they reach out to you for your small works, they’ll have to opportunity to see the larger scale work! See how this makes sense even if you mainly work at a larger scale?
Objective #3 is to sell more art before the end of the year. Imagine what you can do if you have extra money in your pocket because you sold more art than usual! Wouldn’t that be a huge feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment?
So my friend, I invite you to join me for the 2019 Small Works Art Sales Challenge because it's going to be really great. Think about it. The last quarter of the year is when people are open to spending more money on gifts. Not only do they treat themselves but also buy gifts for family and friends. Companies buy gifts for their employees. I mean, it's a great opportunity for us artists, you and me, to be smart about our marketing strategy and what we can do this year to be in front of our audience. So when they think about something to give, they'll think about your art.
That's the whole idea of the challenge. Like I said, it has worked really, really well for me for the last seven years. Yes, I would love for you to join me for the challenge by clicking on the link below. Once you click it, you’ll be taken to my website where I share how you can join. I’ve done things like small paintings, digital drawings on my iPad, charcoal drawings, and a whole series of paintings on 12” x 12” wood panels. I went to the hardware store with less than $100, bought a couple wood panels, cut 64 boards and added wire so they were ready to hang. Each one was signed and numbered. I sold 90% of them!
This year, I’ll be working on acrylic on paper and prints. So, I've already decided what I'm going to do for the Challenge. If you join, you'll see me creating original paintings on paper. Keep in mind you can do anything you want. You may make or already have charcoal drawings, sketches, small paintings, photography, 3D work, or a series that can be use for the challenge. If you know this is the right next step in your art career and are ready to join, don’t keep delaying your progress.
If you have any questions, send me a private message so I can help you better. You can also click on the link below as your question may have already been answered on the website. I look forward to working with you on this Small Works Art Sales Challenge. It's going to be really awesome. Let's make 2019 our best art sales year ever!
