Small Actions and Consequences

Here’s the problem.
Small actions may not seem like a big deal when you do it. But if you do it consistently, it adds up over time.
Once it’s time to deal with the consequences, it’ll take time to rectify it.
Imagine if that happened in your business.
There are different ways for this to manifest. And these two are at the forefront:
1 - Subscriptions to Software Services
Software subscription services may seem like a good idea the first time.
But it can cost you a lot of money in the long run.
It usually starts with a free membership. But we all know the free ride will end. Then, you’ll have to start paying for it.
“It’s only $40 per month. That’s no big deal!”
But if you add that over a year, that turns into $480. That is already an amount that you can invest back into your business. Maybe it can pay for a leadership seminar. Or a coaching program.
2 - Social Media
Here’s another way that small actions can lead to big consequences - at least, indirectly.
Think about each time you check on your phone.
You may tell yourself you just want to check out the notifications. Or someone’s update. Or your feed. Over a day, a few minutes here and there add up to hours.
The time you wasted is already lost. It could have been used to do something more productive. Or you could have used it to make time for yourself or a loved one.
Instead, you’re left scrambling for time because those little checks add up into hours.
Save yourself some trouble. Be mindful of what you do. Before you sign up for something, ask yourself this first:
If you look back over the year, is it going to add up and are you going to regret it?
If the answer is “yes,” then don’t do it.
It’s time to go through your business finances.
What do you spend on in the business?
What about your time?
Start being intentional about where you use your money and spend your time.
Don’t be the person that looks back and says that they wish this didn’t happen. That all of these things added up unknowingly.
