Slowing Down and Staying Present

Slowing Down and Staying Present

If there's one thing to know about me, it’s that I'm always on the move—that's probably why "Let's Go!" ?? is my go-to catchphrase. But lately, a powerful message has been ringing in my ears.??

Over the past few months, I've heard the same advice from all sorts of people—authors, podcast hosts, and public speakers ?? —sharing a simple yet powerful mantra…

Be where your feet are ??.

The fact that this message keeps popping up from such diverse sources makes me wonder…is somebody trying to tell me something???

Here's the deal—my mind ?? usually races ahead, always plotting the next step before the last one's even settled. So, this idea of being fully present hit home. ??

It got me thinking about our fast-paced, ??tech-saturated lives, especially when I found out the average person checks their phone 200 times a day—and let's just say, I am an overachiever ??! That was my wake-up call to start changing my ways. So, I've set myself a new challenge: phone down, head up.??

I won't lie—it's tougher than it sounds. ??

But by pausing to stand still, I've been part of conversations about kids' soccer games ?, incredible victories ??, and deep losses ??. I'm discovering that truly seeing and hearing others starts with intentionally keeping my head up and my feet firmly planted. ??

What about you? ?? Have you found ways to stay present where you are? ?? I'm committed to slowing down and fully listening to your thoughts.?? Let's share our experiences and get better together.??
