Slow Walkers of the World Listen Up
A study of 904 New Zealanders from birth to 45 found that slow walkers at age 45 tended to have greater markers of aging such as lower brain volume, lower mean cortical thickness, and higher incidence of small white matter lesions associated with small vessel disease.? Finally, slower walkers even looked older when assessed for facial age from a photograph.?
MY SUGGESTION:? We slow walkers of the world need to pick up the pace!? It may add a few years to our lives.
