Slow Mornings Lead to Deliberate Days
The way we start our mornings can have a significant impact on how our day unfolds. If we start our day feeling rushed, anxious, or stressed, it can set a negative tone for the rest of the day. On the other hand, if we start our day feeling calm, centered, and focused, it can set a positive tone for the day.
One way to experiment with different approaches to your morning routine is to try alternating between waking up with and without your phone. Many of us have developed a habit of checking our phones first thing in the morning, but this can be a source of stress and distraction.
When you wake up without your phone, you may find that you feel more present and grounded. You have a chance to ease into the day and set your intentions before being bombarded with notifications and messages. You may feel more in control of your time and less reactive to external demands.
On the other hand, when you wake up with your phone, you may find that you immediately feel a sense of urgency or obligation to check your messages and social media. This can create a feeling of distraction and anxiety, which can make it harder to focus on the tasks at hand.
By observing the difference between these two approaches, you may discover that starting your day without your phone can help you feel more centered and in control of your day. You may also find that you are able to approach your tasks more deliberately and calmly, which can lead to better outcomes.
Overall, trying a different approach to your morning can be a simple but powerful way to improve the outcome of your day. Whether it's by waking up without your phone, meditating, or doing some light exercise, finding a routine that works for you can help you start your day on the right foot and set a positive tone for the rest of the day.

2 年How much does this vary between countries and cities? Perhaps it doesn't. But I do know (being one) Irish people are notoriously better in the evenings than the mornings ? Have you looked at that? And how do the US time-zones affect this? Living in California, many business people say they keep "East Coast Time" - which means they get up very early :-) Excited to see further research.
