In an unprecedented collaboration with the Slovenian government, Teja Urankar, Founder of the visionary skincare company Butter Be Kind, secures investment from an angel investor met through the Slovenia-Governmental Program, flowering into a deep bond of mentorship and growth.?

Butter Be Kind is a skincare company dedicated to sustainability and natural ingredients for all skin types. Founded as a result of Teja's personal struggles with sensitive skin and eczema, the startup leverages her biochemistry background and interest in mental health to create state-of-the-art products that address skin concerns and enhance well-being.

At just 18, Teja began formulating products to soothe her skin, unlocking the healing potential of natural ingredients for emotional well-being. While studying and working as a biotechnologist in the pharmaceutical industry, Teja conducted her initial MVP of Butter Be Kind's creams on herself, her family, and friends, each with different skincare needs. The products garnered rave reviews, affirming their efficacy across diverse skin types and their transformative impact in improving self-esteem.?

Launched in 2022, Butter Be Kind upholds its commitment to sustainability and wellness through recycled packaging and thoughtful self-care rituals. Beyond its eco-friendly packaging, the brand contributes to bee conservation with every purchase, improving the world one cream at a time.

The investment followed Teja’s participation in the Slovenia-Governmental Startup Accelerator last June, where she showcased her innovative approach to skincare. The investor was drawn to the unique positioning of Butter Be Kind alongside Teja’s infectious enthusiasm and distinct mission to make a difference in the lives of women who have faced similar challenges.?
