Sliding Gate Operator Upgraded For Public Works Department in Rolling Meadows

Earlier this year ECI was called to the Rolling Meadows Public Works Department to replace an older sliding gate operator. The picture above shows the new SlideDriver? gate operator (green housing). It was supplied by Nice | HySecurity.

The image above and to the left shows the old gate operator at the location. Notice the gray housing below the stop sign. The newly installed operator is shown on the right above with the gate fully closed.

Our work also included modifying the gate mount so the gate would open and close properly with the new operator.

SlideDriver? is a product of Nice | HySecurity which is the gate and barrier division of Nice North America. These operators are designed to pull heavy gates even in harsh snowy and icy Chicagoland winters.

Models range in size to accommodate sliding gates weighing from 1,500 lb to 20,000 lb. There is no limit to the gate length since the limiting factor is the weight of the gate. Backup power is available on most models. The polymer rack and drive wheel system does not require any lubrication.

Each gate operator comes with 70 configurable settings and three relays. An optional interface adds eight additional output relays. Heater kits and snow brush/scraper kits are also options.
