Sleep Out Success!

You might recall that on Friday 20th November, myself and everyone in Team Victory swapped our beds for sleeping in bags to support End Youth Homelessness.

The event challenged us to face the chill of a winter night and experience the harsh reality of many young, vulnerable people who are looking for a place to call home and leave living on the streets for good!

It shocks me to see young men and women at risk of homelessness each year, without the right support or guidance needed to help them live independently. EYH aims to change all that by raising awareness, sharing the stories of those affected and giving people a brighter future in these extremely challenging times.

Even the smallest action can make a BIG difference. This is a fantastic cause and I’m so proud of everyone who donated either through buying gifts online or in store, using reward vouchers or took part in the Sleep Out like me after raising over ￡283,000 ($378,678.90)– and still counting!

We all deserve a place to call home. All the funds raised will go a long way in helping young people overcome the barriers holding them back from reaching their goals.

But the fight goes on, as this Christmas we encourage everyone to watch Unseen Kingdoms. This documentary series explores what it means to be young and homeless, shining a light on women and their narratives through the power of poetry.

It’s so inspiring to see acts of kindness, not just in from our local communities or colleagues, but around the world. When we join forces, we’re unbeatable!
