Sleep apnoea, CPAP machines, and low income earners

OK so sleep apnoea is a serious medical condition with mental health (depression) implications. Sleep deprivation can aggravate other stressful life conditions. Socially and financially disadvantaged people carry a disproportional load of stressful life conditions. CPAP machines are very expensive.
Does anyone know how low income earners can access support to acquire CPAP machines? Can health care card holders access Medicare? Is there a gap? Are there community organisations (Lifeline, Lions,) that collect second hand machines and make them available to low income earners?
Please get back to me. I think there is an avenue for a community service if one (or more) such services don’t exist yet.
