Skywest CRJ-200 skids off the runway

??A Skywest Airlines CRJ-200 aircraft carrying 47 passengers skidded off the runway at the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport (USA) on December 27th. The commercial passenger plane had taken off from Denver earlier in the day and was at full passenger capacity.

??The plane is believed to have encountered “black ice conditions” shortly before landing, according to local authorities. The plane only partially slid off the runway since its rear landing gear never left the pavement surface by the time it came to a stop.

??There was intermittent rain and snow on that day, but there was no falling precipitation when the accident happened. No injuries were reported but the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have already launched an investigation.
