SKYDATA-IoT at the RE+ Show 2024

We recently had the opportunity to participate in the RE+ Conference in Anaheim, California. This was one of the largest renewable energy conferences in North America. It showcased the most expansive and latest technology in the renewable energy ecosystem, everything from the nuts and bolts used to build the solar and wind farms to sophisticated AI technology to design, optimize and control energy usage.

My biggest takeaway from the event was the presence of energy storage capacity. Besides the vast number of companies presenting their solutions dominating the show floor, these companies are reinventing how we will utilize the energy grid. With the growth of microgrids, this will soon solve one of the most significant issues with renewable energy sources: power on demand. The new storage solutions available to homeowners, commercial buildings, EV charging for fleets and even larger scale requirements will soon be able to store and utilize the energy based on their needs. They are optimizing usage, reducing peak cost sourcing and predictive management for their energy consumption needs.

The improvements and growth in the energy storage capacity will be a game changer in the energy generation industry.
