Today, we sat down with Yanick Hofmann , Head of Operations, to discover his unique journey within the company and gain valuable insights from his experience. ??

1. What drew you to apply to SkyCell, and how long have you been with the company?

Three years ago, I got to know SkyCell during an RFQ process at my previous job. As I learned about their innovative products and services, my curiosity piqued, and I wanted to know more. With several years of experience in freight forwarding and traditional pharma logistics, I was impressed by how SkyCell operated and the fresh perspective they brought to the market.

A few months later, that curiosity turned into excitement as I signed my contract with SkyCell, enthusiastic to embark on this new chapter. Today, I am proud to reflect on my journey with SkyCell, and I am grateful for the opportunity to join the company.

2.?Has your role evolved since you first joined the company, and if so, what steps did you take to advance your career at SkyCell?

Over the past three years, my role at SkyCell has evolved significantly alongside the company's rapid growth. Starting in October 2021 as the Global Daily Operations Manager, I focused on structuring operational tasks, marking a significant progression from my previous role as a team lead. The fast-paced environment at SkyCell ensured that each day brought new opportunities for growth and learning, keeping me fully engaged.

SkyCell provided me with all the necessary tools and time to expand my responsibilities. Crucially, my superior, Simon G. , played a pivotal role in guiding me through obstacles and nurturing my personal growth.

Now, nearly three years later, I proudly hold the title of Head of Operations. In this capacity, I oversee a broader range of services, maintaining my enthusiasm for challenges and excitement for the future while appreciating our current achievements.

3.?Could you share insights into the pivotal moments or projects that have shaped your career journey within SkyCell?

Over the past three years, both the company and my department have undergone significant evolution. During this dynamic period, two milestones stand out.

The first milestone was the launch of our internal booking system in 2022. This was not only a major achievement for the department but also a significant personal success. Leading the project, I closely collaborated with IT to design a system that perfectly aligned with our needs. This experience greatly contributed to my professional growth and strengthened my skills in project management and cross-departmental collaboration.

The second pivotal moment came with an internal restructuring that reallocated numerous operational and technical tasks to my team. This shift allowed us to explore new areas of expertise and broaden our capabilities. The restructuring not only enhanced our operational efficiency but also provided my team with opportunities for further development and specialization.

4.?Can you share any advice or lessons learned from your career experiences within SkyCell that might benefit others seeking to develop their careers within the company?

If I had to offer one piece of advice to new joiners, it would be to embrace the fast-paced environment and leverage it as a driving force for both personal and professional growth. The opportunities for advancement within the company are limitless, and this culture of continuous development is the foundation of SkyCell's rapid success. By embracing and excelling in this ever-changing environment, a person can experience exceptional growth and play a key role in our continued success.
