At SkyCell, we're committed to leading the way in sustainable pharma transportation and aligning our strategy to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals related to our main activities. Our 2022 Sustainability Report is a testament to our dedication to the climate, circularity, and cooperation, with a specific focus on the action we are taking in each area.

In this report, we describe our policies, actions, and results in these focus areas. In addition, we disclose?our roadmap on?how we intend?to achieve net-zero?emissions?by 2040.?

In the climate section, we're taking ambitious steps to reduce our carbon footprint. We have validated science-based targets to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in both Scope 1 and 2. Furthermore, we aim to become?net zero by 2040 across our entire value chain. To achieve this ambitious goal, we are already taking significant steps, including using renewable electricity in our production and repair center and optimizing our container design to reduce emissions by up to 50%. Our newest product, the 1500X , has even lower emissions than our previous models, further showcasing our dedication to help?limit climate change.

To mitigate against currently unavoidable emissions, we are in partnership with a major airline to purchase sustainable aviation fuel. In addition, we have procured CO2 removals through pyrolysis in conjunction with?direct air capture technologies to safely and durably?remove CO2 from the atmosphere.

We describe our circular business model in the circularity section. Moreover, we take ownership of our products and lease?them to clients. This approach enables us to use high-performance materials and construction methods that depreciate over a prolonged lifetime, in direct contrast to the single-use materials used elsewhere in the industry. Our hybrid containers are reusable over?dozens of transports and can be easily repaired if required. If a container has reached its end of life, we can reuse parts to build new containers, reducing waste and resource depletion. To further improve our products, we?collaborate with research partners who support us in achieving improvements of the volume efficiency, weight, security and durability of our?hybrids.

In the cooperation section, we describe how we invest in our employees and value employee development and equity, along with the health and safety of our team members. We offer a vibrant and cultural work environment that stimulates and encourages innovation. We provide fair and equal pay based on experience and responsibility. We also engage with suppliers and partners, providing reliable and sustainable transport solutions. Our Codes of Conduct and policies are revised yearly, and the whistle-blowing procedure is specifically designed?to allow employees to report any irregularities anonymously.

SkyCell has achieved an overall score of 90% in the employee satisfaction survey, certifying us as a "Great Place to Work "?for the third consecutive year. In addition, we have received the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the second time in a row, celebrating our efforts to?uplift?our sustainability management system.

Switching to our hybrid containers leads to a major reduction of pharma companies' carbon footprint. One large client reduced its CO2 emissions by approximately 50 000 tons?in 2022 compared to the product it used before SkyCell. These savings are equivalent to the emissions of about 6 300 US homes' energy use for one year.

We still have a long way to go to operate climate neutrally throughout our whole value chain. However, we are committed to this journey and hope the actions we have taken, and take in the?future will inspire others to do the same.
