Skore Acquired By Netcall to Supercharge Process Improvement Software
Innovation Connect
Flexible office spaces and expert business support you need to grow your enterprise with the University of Portsmouth
Skore, the process improvement software platform, has been acquired by Netcall to take their offerings to new heights. Skore's innovative platform simplifies the mapping, analysis, and documentation of business processes, essentially creating an operating manual for companies to streamline processes such as expenses, holiday requests, risk assessment, and invoicing.
Established in 2017 by three founders, Craig Willis, Chris Green and Colin Claverie, all with backgrounds in consultancy, the platform was born out of the need for a more accessible tool for businesses. Over the years, Skore, based at our Technopole centre at Innovation Connect, has experienced several phases of growth and transformation. They initially began as a consultancy firm, leveraging their expertise to finance the development of their software, and eventually shifted their focus from consultancy to software development.
However, it was the Covid-19 pandemic that prompted a significant shift in their business model. The pandemic made it necessary for many businesses to adapt to remote work, and Skore's platform proved to be the ideal tool for facilitating remote collaboration and engagement. This unforeseen change removed any lingering doubts about the platform's relevance, as organisations embraced it to continue their operations whilst working remotely.
Skore has garnered considerable recognition, earning a nomination for the Best Process Management Software in 2023 and receiving rave reviews from satisfied customers. Their focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, simplicity, and accessibility sets them apart from their competitors. The company's catchy strapline, 'Powerfully Simple,' emerged from the glowing feedback of satisfied customers.
Joining the Netcall family, a prominent software and automation company, will align Skore with a larger organisation who share their core values and ethos, with a strong focus on customer needs. This collaboration presents an opportunity for growth, knowledge sharing, and leveraging Netcall's resources. A strategic alignment, Skore's process improvement expertise complements Netcall's automation software, providing a complete solution that benefits both companies and their customers.
Skore has built strong ties within the University of Portsmouth's business community. Founded by two Portsmouth alumni, they've engaged in various collaborations with the University, such as mentoring, internships, and knowledge-sharing. Their interactions with students and? involvement in Business Consultancy Projects have provided fresh perspectives. The University also helped Skore secure funding through Santander, supporting their growth ambitions.?

Additionally, Skore has actively contributed to the academic environment by conducting talks and sharing expertise with university academics. Their Head of Marketing, Anna Roebuck, participates in mentoring through Accelerating Women's Enterprise (AWE), a university initiative, underscoring their commitment to local knowledge exchange and community support, benefiting both Skore and budding entrepreneurs. These experiences have not only benefited Skore but also enriched the university's academic environment with real-world insights and experiences.
As for the dos and don'ts of building a business, Craig shares his wisdom:?
"Success isn't always a straight road; it's filled with bends and bumps. Learning from failures is just as essential as celebrating successes. From the outset, it's vital to identify your values and hold onto them, even as your journey evolves. Adaptation and change are key, but never compromise on your core values. Find the right people who share those values and they'll help you through all the ups and downs along the way.”
For those interested in Skore's offerings, they host weekly clinics and provide valuable resources for process improvement.
