Skoodos in Excelcon 2022: Experiential Learning Conclave
Visiting the idyllic place of Assam was an enlightening experience with "The Experiential Learning Conclave 2022" organized by ScooNews. A picturesque cruise on the Brahmaputra refreshed our souls and mind, it was followed by an informative session on Assam heritage with a delightful musical night. We were able to hear and convey the inspiring and innovative thoughts of educators dedicated to changing the face of modern education.
Wisdom words from the speakers like Sandeep Sethi and Amrita Aurman gave us food for thought. We listened to instructive sessions on how important it is to teach students through experiences and instead of making them swot, that helps them retain the knowledge instead of cramming everything in their head.
The beautiful presentations showcasing the talent of the students from Assam stole our hearts. We were inspired by the lectures of speakers concerned for the students' future, we were highly inspired by the inclusive activities curated by Ms. Praveen Shaikh, Principal of The Somaiya School. Instead of speaking out she showed us how small experiential learning activities can actually help students.?
Nelli Ahmed, one of the speakers and founder and trustee of Maria’s Public School of Guwahati extended her hospitality and discussed at length the Skoodos endeavor and the future of schools in Assam.

Our founder Dr. Siya Seth and communication head Mrs. Shalini Kaushik were able to glean pearls of wisdom from the intellectual speakers and the educators from such respected tribe. Mrs. Shalini Kaushik said, “We discussed a big gap in education and specially school searching; we will strive to fill these gaps on our own end.” The discussion on do’s and don’ts and other pitfalls of pedagogy have been thorough topics of their private discussion. Experiential learning was something that appealed to Dr. Siya and she says, “ Experiential learning is a the change we need in our education system, and it is high time it was introduced to our educational boards and school curriculums”
