Skipping breakfast makes you gain more weight

Some time ago, I wanted to lose weight (in reality fat). I would wake up very early in the morning and join the jogging team in the bid to lose weight.

To make matters worse, I would jog on an empty stomach, after more than 60 minutes of exercise, I will still go to classes on an empty stomach waiting to eat around 1-pm.

I was so happy with myself thinking that I will be losing weight (fat) but to my greatest surprise, I ended up adding more weight (fat) than before.

All the exercises, fasting, and starvation in the bid to lose weight were in vain.

I was only punishing myself for nothing. For more than 5 months this was going on until, we were taught in one of our nutrition courses about metabolism and there, I realized how wrong I was.

Back then I was doing this in ignorance as a beginner nutrition student, but with time I was able to learn the right thing and navigate myself into the right path.

From there I started seeing positive results.

This same mistake and ignorance are inherent in so many people today.

Some people, will in the quest to lose weight, put themselves under enormous stress and starvation. The most painful aspect of it is that they end up not achieving any result...losing fat.

Some would want to reward themselves after an exercise by eating foods loaded with trans-fat and empty calories thereby replacing what they have lost by ten folds.

To lose weight (fat), it is recommended you eat a healthy diet in a moderate quantity after an exercise and drink enough quantity of water.

This will help you to keep hydrated, replenish lost electrolytes and moderately replenish lost calories to enable healthy weight (fat) loss.

If you fail to eat, by skipping your breakfast, you are likely to eat more than your body requires later on there by enhancing weight gain.

Secondly, the body might see it as stress and thus start releasing some hormones like cortisol and others that will likely induce weight (fat) gain.

Skipping breakfast will not help you to lose weight rather it can trigger weight gain.
