Amsterdam’s response to attacks

The Amsterdam mayor, Femke Halsema, condemned violent attacks on Israeli football fans in the city during a Europa League match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax. BBC says Halsema linked the incident to historical pogroms, and urged change.

ESPN says Mayor Halsema didn't stop at condemning the attacks: Dutch authorities arrested 62 amid increasing antisemitic incidents.

JPost says critics weren't satisfied with that, though: They demanded Mayor Halsema's resignation over her failure to protect Israeli fans.

For what it's worth, The Hill says attacks on Israeli fans in Amsterdam triggered global condemnation. President Biden described the attacks as “despicable”.

The “Skip Forward” cruise

Trump's 2024 election win prompted Villa Vie Residences to offer a “Skip Forward” journey as a luxurious getaway from U.S. politics. Metro.co says it's a four-year-long journey.

More on the offering from NY Post : Dubbed a political escape, guests will embark on a 4-year global cruise, conveniently bypassing the next U.S. presidential term!

PennLive says the cruise offers a luxurious way to escape the U.S. political climate: The “4-Year Skip Forward” cruise visits 400+ destinations!

Vice says it's not cheap, though: Targeting Americans seeking a break, the cruise hits all seven continents -- and costs $319,998.
