Skintone or Undertone - Part 2

Hey, Girlfriend.

In my last newsletter, I promised I would share with you how to determine your undertone.

Here are 3 quick ways to find out if you are a Cool, Warm or Neutral undertone.

1. Your Veins

Stand in natural light (ex. - in front of a window or step outside).

Look at the veins on the underside of your wrist.

Do they look blueish or greenish to you?

If they look more green or olive, you are on the warm side.

If they appear blue or purplish, you are more on the cool side.

2. Paper

Take a white sheet of paper up to your neck or wrap yourself in a white towel.

If your skin appears more red or pink next to the paper, you have cool.

If your skin appears more yellow, you have warm.

3. Silver vs Gold

Compare holding a piece of silver jewelry up to your neck and chest area.

Then repeat with a piece of gold jewelry.

Which one makes your skin pop or glow more?

If you say silver, you have a cool undertone.

If you say Gold, you have a warm undertone.

If you found it hard to determine your undertone via these tests above, you may be a neutral undertone.

This means you are a good blend of both and everything probably looks great on you. :-)
