Yesterday, our friends at Skipio sponsored a great event that featured top sellers sharing ways to prepare for 2022. Their insights were amazing, and I want to share a few of them with you.
"Customers need to know that you have their best interest in mind" - Lanette Richardson. Lanette shared that sales used to be all about the numbers and whether or not you're on pace to reach quota. It simply can't be that way anymore. After the pandemic, businesses have shifted and so have lives. People want negotiations to feel personalized and to feel like they are a priority. Listen for their pain points, make them the focus, and position yourself to be the solution.

"Address their objections in the first 2-3 sentences" and "Be willing to move out of the way a bit" - Eric Buckley & James Sukhan. Your ability to overcome objections will make or break your deals, and essentially, your sales career. Be sure to address their problem first thing without beating around the bush. Also, consider moving out of the way a bit, it doesn't have to be about you. You can say something like, "Here are some things we did to help a company similar to yours, and here is the difference it made."

The insights at these events benefit all types of sellers. I'm grateful for Skipio and all of the speakers that made it such an informative and effective evening. I do these events for you. I do them because I want you to succeed. And of course, I want you to go out and do big things.
To own or not to own, that is the question. Mike Farrell, chief executive officer at Green Leads, joins the share why your company should use an external SDR team or develop a team yourself. Listen to Mike explain whether this is a good fit for you below.
Embracing the technological capabilities of the modern-day isn't just a good idea; it's a necessity. This episode features Peter Kazanjy, the founder of Atrium and Modern Sales Pros, who explains why you need to become a data-driven seller, and how to do it. Listen to Peter's instruction below.
