Gartner's latest report on Top 5 Priorities for HR in 2025 identifies five key focus areas for HR leaders in 2025:

  1. Leader and manager development: Emphasizing continuous development models that integrate practical learning and peer connections to better prepare managers for evolving responsibilities.
  2. Organizational culture: Aligning cultural vision with reality by clearly communicating desired behaviors and holding leaders accountable for exemplifying these values.
  3. Strategic workforce planning: Moving beyond headcount-based planning to a phased, capability-focused approach that anticipates future talent needs.
  4. Change management: Building change management skills among leaders and identifying internal change influencers to effectively navigate transformations and reduce change fatigue.
  5. HR technology: Investing in technologies that offer long-term value and innovation, such as generative AI, to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.

The report details many striking insights, but one in particular caught our eye: 51% of HR leaders say they struggle to access and use data effectively. As the demand for data-driven decisions in HR rises, this challenge underscores the need for robust people analytics solutions.

CSRD updates

The?Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)?revolutionizes how organizations report on sustainability. So, what does this mean for HR leaders and People Analytics teams?

With the rise of?environmental, social, and governance (ESG)?expectations, the CSRD pushes for more transparency in how organizations report on these initiatives and their impact. This represents both a compliance challenge and a massive opportunity for HR departments to drive strategic conversations around the workforce's impact on sustainable business practices.

Crunchr recently hosted a?webinar?on this topic and we also rounded up some of the latest news from the European Commission, Forbes, National Law Review, and more. These resources are intended to keep you informed and updated on these evolving regulations.
