Andrew, I guess that the first step is to seed the idea of active listening. Maybe organizing a psychological safe space for discussions is needed (groups of 5-7 people). Also having an agenda (a subject to discuss) and a skilled facilitator (not just a moderator) would be useful. If interested, let's schedule a meeting and explore the topic. I have experience in sociocracy (dynamic governance), talk in rounds and in consent-based decision-making processes. There, efficient communication (including active listening) is mandatory. I'm also a meeting facilitator, so I guess I could help with my expertise, in case it is considered useful. Being neutral and not being involved in any internal issues would be also helpful.
