Do you need a skills assessment for a 485 visa??

Applicants for the 485 Post-Vocational Education Work stream visa are required to provide a positive skills assessment in their nominated occupation to be granted the visa. This should also be related to their course of study in Australia.?

Each occupation has a dedicated assessing body. Assessments from other organisations will not be accepted.??

Some examples include:??

• Chef - Trades Recognition Australia (TRA), or one of their approved RTOs?

• Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson – Engineers Australia or VETASSESS?
