To prepare for your salary discussion, you must research the job market in your state and even in your city. Knowing your area's job market is essential to better understand what others in your same role are doing, getting paid and how it compares to you.???
When researching the cost of living, tenure, growth in your position, and KPIs for your specific role are also things to consider. Once you have all this information on hand, you can ensure that your conversation will be based on accurate data.??

When a job offer was given, that was the moment that both employer and employee agreed they could be good for each other. Both parties agreed on salary and role responsibilities, but as time passes by, responsibilities could change. The research you have done will come in handy if that's the case. Focus on the value you have brought to the company through your tenure. This is not an opportunity to compare your salary against your current peers.???
