Skill-Up Yourself by Networking

Skill-Up Yourself by Networking

Sharing some tips from my friend Bret Packard with you today.

Skill-Up Yourself

Please skill-up yourself to the point of becoming so invaluable that when you decide to apply at a company, they will hire you, hands-down.?You want to become so skilled that there is a clear blue water separation between you and others.??

Here's how to do it!

Pick 5 people on LinkedIn and study them, engage them, learn all about them - immerse yourself in their posts, podcasts - the 5 people should be experts in what you want to learn - this will get you on the right pathway to up-skilling.

Get across the detail in whatever you are working on. Take courses, ask questions of experts - if you are resourceful, the market will reward you.

You also need to learn how to network and market yourself - not just your CV and LinkedIn profile, but how you present yourself - why are you exceptional, why you will make a difference to the company's bottom line, your USP.

Again, get resourceful.

Don’t you want to hold the upper-hand and remove the stress from a job search?

Be resourceful, pay the price and you will be handsomely rewarded for it.

Oh, BTW, the same advice is applicable if you are currently employed.?

Please consider following my friend Bret Packard for his daily inspirational/educational posts.

LinkedIn Tip #11: Work Experience??

Why make it difficult for someone to know what you did with your current/previous employer by only sharing the company, position, and the dates you worked with zero content.

Copy and Paste the info from your resume to your Work Experience on your resume.

You can also share those same things you shared in your new Featured section in your work history as well. Again, providing social proof to others about what you can accomplished.
