Are you tired of the same DEI training rehashed and repeated over and over? Amidst the climate of polarization and misinformation around the work of dismantling systemic racism in schools, workplaces, and communities, you're invited to attend...
The People's Gathering is a unique professional development opportunity for Anti-Racist Leaders (and those becoming) – to gather for a day of truth-telling, strategic planning, and coalition building.
Hosted by Pacific Lutheran University 's Continuing Education, the 14th convening of The People’s Gathering is on Thursday, November 9 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. PT/11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. ET.
I'm privileged to be once again the Zoom producer of this empowering event.
In the program's second half, over 500 participants gather in small groups of ten, based on race and ethnicity, to discuss ways to "skill up" their Anti-Racist Leadership acumen and practice. It's a really powerful and intimate experience.
This is my fourth time as executive Zoom Producer of this virtual event, and it's so different from a boring webinar that I included it as an example in the opening chapter of my award-winning book, "Break Out of Boredom: Low-Tech Solutions for Highly Engaging Zoom Events."
Who should attend The People's Gathering?
Anyone seeking to commit to the collective work of dismantling systemic racism and promoting equity and justice for all wherever they have influence.
Specifically, anyone on an Anti-Racist Leadership development journey working in government agencies at every level (tribal, federal, state, local), non-profits, for-profit corporations, K12 Education, Higher Education, Entrepreneurs, faith-based organizations, individuals, and more.
