How often do we appreciate the contribution of vocational teachers and vocational trainers in grooming, mentoring, counselling, guiding youth? Don't they perform many tasks besides delivering theoretical and practical training?

How do we make their profession aspirational?

What are some of the key issues that need to be addressed to attract qualified, talented and industry-experienced professionals to explore careers in this space?

It's absolutely imperative to consider these questions as we engage in deliberations and discussion on implementing NEP 2020 by bringing knowledge and skills closer. Here's my presentation on 5 Ways to appreciate vocational teachers and vocational trainers . New age learning methods for vocational education through the phygital model

Vocational education works at the intersection of occupational experience, and technical and academic competencies, this calls for cognitive and kinesthetic involvement of the learners to achieve the desired learning outcomes. The overarching emphasis is on the practical component that demands an interactive and immersive learning environment, a phygital model blended with the right mix of pedagogical strategies can deliver excellence.
