I recently was on a panel at the NIGA 2018 conference with two tribal casino operators and a competitor. On the panel, the audience heard from us (Gamblit), GameCo, Choctaw Casino in Durant, and Paiute Palace. Skyelar Perkins, Choctaw Casino, put forward that there is space within any casino environment to offer a new game that may just appeal to that group of casino visitors who have just not found their game. Sherry Kriescher, Paiute Palace, offered that if you know your players, then you will know what to offer.
I would concur that both opinions are 100% correct.
I am so pleased that now in 2018, the topic of discussing skill-based gaming has been so accepted as a necessity that the NIGA conference had multiple sessions on skill-based gaming. This is due to Ernie Steven’s leadership of NIGA, and Victor Rocha’s vision of how the NIGA conference can continue to propel the tribal gaming community to the forefront of the global casino market. This is also due to tribal leaders, tribal gaming commissions, and tribal casino operators seeking to find the best path forward as individual nations and collectively as a powerful political and economic coalition. This can be even further evidenced by the sessions held by the Tribal Gaming Alliance to put forth the Tribal Skill Gaming standard, led by the Lake County Potawatomi Gaming Commission. And finally, this is due to the market-leading first movers within the tribal casino community to try skill-based wagering. This includes Harrah’s? Rincon in California, Choctaw Casino? in Durant and Downstream Casino Resort? in Quapaw, Oklahoma, Route 66 Casino? in New Mexico, and Firekeepers Casino? in Michigan.
Skill-based gaming is in its infancy. I believe over the next few years we will see huge successful games, some middle of the road games that a small niche of players like, and some games that just will not make it. I also believe that skill-based gaming will add to the great entertainment value that tribal casinos provide to their visitors, and will add to the prosperity of their communities.

6 年I'm earnestly interested to know what the top?player of Gamblit Games skill-based offerings makes in a given year.? The proof of skill-based gambling is offering a player advantage without risking the casino's bacon.? As someone who worked closely with AGEM to bring the law into the public's consciousness, I'm sorely disappointed with everything I've seen falling into the category of "illusion of skill" as there is no way to create a player edge for a given player that can be sustained indefinitely.? I would love to be informed how wrong I am on my point.
